Dear Neighbor,
Greetings from your friends and family who serve you as part of the North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company, located on Route 9L across from the Cleverdale General Store. We are your neighbors who respond when you call 911 for any type of emergency 24/7/365 days a year. We provide emergency responses for fire, rescue, EMS, marine rescue with divers, mountain rescue and firefighting, ice rescue and motor vehicle accidents in our community.
We support our surrounding fire companies with mutual aid and are part of the Warren County marine rescue response team for all water emergencies. We respond when your boat is sinking, your basement is flooded, provide generator support when there is an ice storm, assist with traffic control for accidents and are there for whatever the community may need.
We are made up of over fifty members from diverse backgrounds and vast experiences which we bring to the fire company every day. People join our ranks for a number of reasons, some to become firefighters, some EMTs and others support the company in administrative roles. it takes all kinds of individuals to maintain our ability to provide emergency services all year to our community and the many visitors we have every year. Please consider joining our ranks and help to support your neighbors and friends, simply stop by and speak with any member or visit the 'Becoming a Member' link.
In addition to the time, training and talent that it takes to serve the community it also takes financial support. Most of our funding comes from the tax dollars you pay to the Town of Queensbury however these funds are distributed throughout the town and only a portion is returned to North Queensbury for our needs.
We request your financial support to fund various needs the fire tax renenue does not cover. Over the years we have used your generous tax-exempt contributions to enhance our services by purchasing marine rescue equipment, emergency generators, provided college scholarship assistance to recruit members and provide work clothing to name a few.
Currently we are looking to increase the number of AEDs that we have for a quicker response when needed, additional radios to enhance communication for our members, gas meters and traffic control devices, personal air masks for our interior firefighters and dive equipment for our newest divers.
We are asking for your help by making a charitable donation to the North Queensbury Firefighter Service Corp. (NQFSC) during our annual appeal. Your donation will directly benefit you and your neighbors. One-hundred percent of your donated dollars stay in the community and support the FIre Company as needed. Please help us help you and enhance the services we offer with your generous contribution today.
Respectfully,
Your Neighborhood Fire and Rescue Volunteers
